The focus of my training program is to produce relaxed, soft, happy and responsive horses.
A relaxed horse comes in all breeds and in all disciplines, including ranch and trail riding.
A horse with a solid foundation in training can go in any direction.
Every horse is an individual and requires a training program specific to their individual needs.
Full Training: $800 (5 rides/lessons a week)Partial Training: $500 (3 rides/lessons a week)Training Rides: $75 per ride
My goal is to teach my riders they can guide and influence their horse's direction, gait, and speed with soft and relaxed aides.
Each session we work towards developing a better line of communication between the horse, the rider, and (myself) the coach. This gradual process of trust and respect is what builds the relationship between us all.
Learning how ask and how to listen to the horse, developing a better "feel."
Just as horses are individuals, every person has individual needs and goals.
Whether you are a beginner with trail riding goals or an advanced rider looking to succeed in the show ring, I am dedicated to bringing out the potential of every person regardless of their experience.
Lessons:
$100 - one hour of dedicated time where you will learn how to catch, brush, and tack up our horses and ride.
Once riders have learned how to catch, groom, and tack up the horse, they may come 30 minutes prior to their scheduled lesson time so the hour may be dedicated strictly to riding.
This service is both to support our riders and their horses while competing.
I firmly believe that success happens at home, the show ring is an opportunity to test that success outside the comfort of the barn.
The difference between basic obedience and advanced obendience is replicating what you have under saddle at home in a new environment with distractions.
Do you have a horse you are struggling to load? Does your horse walk away the moment you go to mount up? Do you have a trail horse that wont walk through water?
Taking the time to understand what the horse is doing and why. It is imperative the rider/owner communicates needs/expectations that they have for themselves and their horses.
Usually, most behavioral issues can be resolved by taking a closer look at what is happening with the horse on a physical and emotional level.
Are they in a safe envirnoment where they can relax and lay down? How are their feet? Their teeth? We always want to rule out pain before proceeding with the training process.
If you have a horse you are looking to rehome, but they need to address the foundations (again) first, I am willing to help train and rehome for a consignment fee.
